In our commitment to transparency, we would like to explain the new restrictions that we face with “Next-Gen” iPhones. With the introduction of the iPhone 11, 11 Pro, and 11 Pro Max, Apple has introduced new checks that discourages third-party repairs.
When a third-party display or battery is replaced for the 11, 11 Pro, and 11 Pro Max, the warning “Unable to verify this iPhone has a genuine Apple display” or “Unable to verify this iPhone has a genuine Apple battery“, will be displayed on the lock screen for about four days.
After four days, the warning will be moved in the iPhone’s settings, and then again moved into Settings > General > About.
This warning message will show even if you swap a genuine Apple display or Apple battery from one iPhone to another. Apple is cryptographically pairing the display and battery to the phone it ships with from the factory.
These warning do not affect the functionality of the phone.
