With the (re)introduction of glass backs on iPhone, Apple has made it clear they’re going for form over function. Here are the options we have available to have your rear glass fixed on your iPhone 8, 8+, X, XR, XS, and XS Max.

 

Generic Housings are full housing (back and sides, volume and power button) replacement. These typically take about 6 hours to turnaround and cost anywhere between $99-$249+. These do not have the Apple logo or “iPhone” text on the rear of the glass. If the housing from your phone is too damaged, this is the method we usually use.

Cost: $99-$249+

Turnaround Time: 6 hours (average)

Housings with Logo is also a full housing (back and sides, volume and power button) replacement. These also typically take about 6 hours to turnarounds and cost anywhere between $149 and $299. These housings have the Apple logo and “iPhone” text on the rear of the glass.If the housing from your phone is too damaged, this is the method we usually use.

Cost: $149-$299+

Turnaround Time: 6 hours (average)

Generic Back Glass Repair is a much quicker method, usually taking about 2 hours from start to finish. These are done with special “laser” machines, that zap the glass off of the back of your phone. These are currently outsourced and do not have the Apple logo or “iPhone” text on the rear of the glass. We use this method if the frame of the iPhone is in tact, otherwise a housing replacement would be needed.

Cost: $79+

Turnaround Time: 3 hours (average)

OEM-Quality Glass Repair uses the same method, usually taking about 2 hours from start to finish. These are also done with special “laser” machines, that zap the glass off of the back of your phone. These are currently outsourced and have the Apple logo and “iPhone” text on the rear of the glass. We use this method if the frame of the iPhone is in tact, otherwise a housing replacement would be needed.
